Don’t forget, there’s still time to submit an expression of interest in accessing funding for your community through the Community Choices initiative before the closing date of Friday 5th March.
If you have an idea that will improve the quality of life in your community or make a lasting difference to people in your local area, we want to speak to you!
In partnership with Falkirk Council’s Fairer Falkirk team, and the Community Learning and Development (CLD) team, our team at CVS Falkirk will hold 3 online Community Choices information sessions. Each session will include a short presentation on the Community Choices initiative, and the opportunity to speak with staff members from both Falkirk Council and CVS Falkirk about the support they can provide with the Community Choices process.
Falkirk Council CLD staff members are based in each of the nine wards in the Falkirk Council area, so if you think it would be helpful for you to meet and speak to the CLD staff member based in your particular ward area please see the event information below where we have noted which sessions will have representatives from each ward present. However, please do feel free to attend the session that works best for you, regardless of ward area. The three sessions will be held on Zoom on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday 23rd February, 1:30pm – 2:30pm (Wards 1,2,3)
- Tuesday 23rd February, 6pm – 7pm (Wards 4,5,6)
- Thursday 25th February, 10am – 11am (Wards 7,8,9)
If you are unsure which ward area you are in, you can find out by entering your postcode on the Falkirk Council website.
Please note that these information sessions are for everyone from our Falkirk communities and you are welcome to share this information with anyone you feel might benefit from the sessions – this includes individuals or groups of community members as well as existing community groups and organisations, as they are all equally eligible to submit an expression of interest in Community Choices.
To receive the link you need to access any of the sessions, to tell us about any access requirements we need to know about, or if you have any other questions about the sessions, please contact Lynsey Hansford by email: lynsey.hansford@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
