As part of its Climate Ready Forth Valley project, FEL Scotland is offering funding to help community groups come together to share their lived experience and local knowledge, and to help shape the future of climate adaptation across the Forth Valley.
They want to hear directly from communities about how climate change is already affecting their lives—and what matters most for local climate adaptation. Alongside local authorities in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling, FEL Scotland is developing a regional Economic Impact Assessment, but numbers alone can’t capture people’s real experiences. Your stories can help shape the future regional, climate ready adaptation strategy to make its priorities meaningful and relevant to the people and places of the Forth Valley.
Through the Climate Ready Forth Valley: Local Knowledge and Lived Experience Fund, eligible community groups will be funded to:
- Organise an event to engage your community
- Bring people together to talk about what climate adaptation means to them
- Share community stories, values, and ideas to inform future climate related decision-making
Through the fund, costs (including catering, venue and accessibility) will be covered and resources provided. As a guide, £225 will be offered to groups hosting up to 15 people, per event – however, groups are encouraged to use the Expression of Interest Form to specify the level of funding they require to cover the costs of putting on their events, even if more than £225.
Events must take place before Monday 16 March 2026, with reports submitted to FEL before 5pm, Monday 16 March 2026.
To apply for the fund, groups must complete the Expression of Interest Form (linked for your convenience). The deadline for submitting this form is Monday 9 March 2026.
