Volunteer Network Peer Support Session
The Volunteer Organisers Network provides peer-to-peer support for heritage volunteer organisers in Scotland. They are welcoming new attendees to join their open forum to speak with their members, sharing experiences and gaining insight and support from peers. Taking place from 9:30am – 10:30am, Thursday 24 July 2025, this is a great opportunity to talk with people in similar roles, share your volunteer organiser insights, ask questions and pick up practical tips.
Falkirk Older People’s Network Meeting: Exploring Place-Based Ageing Impacts
We invite local older adults, community workers, and volunteers to the next Falkirk Older Person’s Network meeting, taking place in person on Thursday 28 August 2025, 10am – 12pm at 1st Falkirk Scout Hall, Pleasance, Falkirk, FK1 1BG.
Employability Day 2025:“Inactivity to Opportunity to Good Work”
Friday 20 June 2025 marks Employability Day 2025 – an opportunity to showcase the impact of employment support services, with this year’s theme focusing on “Inactivity to Opportunity to Good Work”. Last year, we highlighted the value of the third sector as supportive, diverse, and meaningful environment to start and develop a career – and we feel this new theme compliments this further by showcasing some of our resources which directly support individuals and groups on their journey with employability.
Falkirk Get Together with Canine Partners
Canine Partners is a local charity transforming lives by partnering disabled people with assistance dogs. On Tuesday 24 June 2025, 11am – 1pm, they are hosting a pawsome gathering of their partners, applicants and volunteers in Falkirk. Meeting at The Kelpies Visitor Centre, Helix Park, Falkirk, FK2 7ZT, all are welcome to come along and enjoy a walk and a blether.
Playlist for Life Event on Music and Dementia
Playlist for Life’s Falkirk Community Network invites people to their next event exploring the powerful link between personal music and dementia. Taking place on Thursday 26 June 2025, the event will run 1:30pm – 2:30pm, with time for discussion and networking until 3pm, at The Place to Pause & Breathe, 18 High Street, Bonnybridge, FK4 1DA.
Enable Communities Weekly Walking Groups
Enable Communities holds weekly walking groups in the Falkirk District area, which are open to anyone (though primarily aimed at adults with learning disabilities in the area, their family and support staff also more than welcome). The walks take place every Thursday, 1:30pm – 3:30pm, with the next meeting at the Falkirk Wheel on Thursday 19 June 2025.
Braveheart Art & Crafts Fayre
Volunteers from the Braveheart Association will host an Art & Crafts Fayre on Thursday 19 June 2025, 10am – 3pm, at the Braveheart Connections Hub in the Howgate Shopping Centre, High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1HG. This is the first event of the Braveheart’s newly formed fundraising group.
