A refreshed Multi-Agency Training Timetable has been published by Falkirk Council, with learning and development opportunities available from February – June 2026. Practitioners and managers across Children and Adult Services are invited to review the programme and sign up for sessions relevant to their role and professional development needs.
The timetable brings together a broad range of multi-agency training – including third sector – designed to strengthen practice, promote collaboration, and support continuous professional learning. Staff are encouraged to share details within their teams and register early, as places on some sessions may be limited.
The February–June 2026 programme includes both established and newly added courses. New additions to the timetable include:
- Child Protection Practitioner Forum
- GIRFEC Learning Café
- Learning Disability – Stigma & Bias
- Parental Mental Ill Health
- Parents with Learning Disabilities and Child Wellbeing and Protection
- Sensory Awareness Training
- Sexual Health & Young People
A wide range of core and specialist topics are also available, including (but not limited to):
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- Behaviour is Communication – De-escalation Techniques
- Interagency Referral Discussions (IRD): Children & Families
- Keeping The Promise & Corporate Parenting
- Let’s Talk About Stigma (Substance Use)
- Trauma Informed and Responsive Practice (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
- Value of Relationships in Supporting Children & Young People
- Working with Neglect (including practitioner and manager sessions)
