The Bank of Scotland Foundation’s Energise Programme provides unrestricted funding to small charities across Scotland that place vulnerable people at the heart of their work. The programme aims to help grassroots organisations grow, strengthen their services and respond effectively to the challenges facing the communities they support.
Two levels of funding are available:
- £20,000 over two years (£10,000 per year) for charities with an annual income below £50,000.
- £40,000 over two years (£20,000 per year) for charities with an annual income between £50,000 and £150,000.
Funding can be used towards core costs, project delivery, service costs and general running expenses. Eligible organisations must be Scottish charities with at least one year of accounts lodged with OSCR and an annual income of £150,000 or less. Charities must also demonstrate that supporting vulnerable people is central to their work.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 7 October 2026.
