Impact Arts is a community arts charity, utilising creative engagement to build confidence and empower participants to achieve their potential. They are currently looking for participants for their next block of Art Wise Falkirk – a fun and inclusive therapeutic art programme supporting families to thrive and stay connected.
This programme aims to support parents to better understand their child’s behaviour and develop tools to connect and communicate with them, whilst also supporting children to identify their own needs and develop coping strategies using art and creativity. Working with a qualified Art Therapist and Wellbeing Support Worker, attendees will have a mix of parents/carer sessions and whole family creative play sessions.
Art Wise is open to families across the Falkirk local authority area, although to be eligible to join sessions, you must be one of the following: parent under 25 years old; ethnic minority parent; lone parent; parent with 3+ children; parent with a disability; parent struggling with mental health; or parent affected by substance misuse.
Starting on Friday 27 February 2026, sessions are free to attend and are facilitated by one of their art therapists as well as an Impact Arts wellbeing worker. Within this upcoming block, there will be two Friday sessions available, with one group from 10:15–11:45am focusing on parents with infants (up to the age of 3) and one from 1:30–2:30pm for neurodiverse families (primary school age with suspected or diagnosed neurodivergence). Both groups will be based at The Braes Children and Families Centre (68-70 Forgie Crescent, Maddiston, FK2 0LZ), with travel costs support available if needed.
