Ahead of Volunteers’ Week 2026, our CEO Victoria McRae has said:

“Volunteers’ Week is a national celebration, as well as an opportunity to pause and reflect, not only on the contributions of volunteers, but on how different our society, our lives would be without them.

“Here in Falkirk District, our communities are powered by people who give their time, energy and compassion to make lives better for others. These are the unsung heroes who keep us moving, and help us stay connected, happy and thriving.

“So whether you are part of a litterpicking group, help run a community garden or the local Parent Council, whether you are keeping people fit through amateur sports clubs or community gyms, you lead Scouts, Brownies, Squirrels or Boys Brigade, or you sit on a community council – on behalf of everyone at CVS Falkirk & District, thank you for everything you do, all year round.”
