Kelvin Valley and Falkirk LEADER (KVFL) and Crowdfund Scotland have announced new local dates for their short workshop events in 2020:
- Tuesday 25th February, 10am – 11:30am at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club, Tak-Ma-Doon Road, Kilsyth, G65 0RS
- Tuesday 5th May, 2:30pm – 4pm at Behind the Wall, 14 Melville Street, Falkirk, FK1 1HZ
- Tuesday 9th June, 10am – 11:30am at the East Dumbartonshire Voluntary Action (EDVA) office, Unit 5, 18 Townhead, Kirkintilloch, G66 1NL
The events aim to provide an overview of what crowdfunding is, as well as tips on getting started with a crowdfunding campaign, covering:
- what is crowdfunding?
- introducing Crowdfund Scotland
- what are the benefits of crowdfunding?
- what makes a good crowdfunding project?
- three steps to success
- accessing advice and support
Crowdfunding coaches will also be available to talk about attendees’ projects afterwards, and possible match-funding. Additionally, Crowdfunder currently has a package of grants available for application.
The events are open to everyone, whatever area they live or work in, though those in eligible LEADER areas may be entitled to free one on one coaching.

Places are free but limited, and booking is essential.
