The Bairdwatson Charitable Trust provides grants of up to £20,000 to support work relating to training for employment, employment support and vocational skills. The Trust is managed by Foundation Scotland, and all applicants must meet Foundation Scotland’s Funding Criteria.
The programme will consider applications from organisations providing employability support for disadvantaged young people who are disengaged from learning and leaving school, or who have left school without a positive pathway to education, training, or employment. Groups may apply for funding for a maximum period of 12 months.
The fund is particularly interested in activities and support that provide structured, skills-based learning through intensive sessions, courses, or regular delivery over a sustained period that supports progression towards employment, further training, apprenticeships, or further education. While the fund can support wraparound support where it is clearly linked to employability outcomes, it is not able to support projects focused solely on health and wellbeing without a clear employability focus.
Applications must be submitted before Friday 7 August 2026.
