The WF Southall Trust, a Quaker-based family trust, offers grants to UK-registered charities working in one or more of the following areas:
- Quaker Work & Witness
- Environmental Action & Sustainability
- Peace & Reconciliation
- Social Action
Grants range from £3,000 to £5,000, with an annual award total of £350,000. With funding available for capital, revenue, and core costs, most grants are for one year, though multi-year funding may be considered for previously supported charities.
Applications reopen in mid-November 2025, however charities must pass the Trust’s Eligibility Check before applying (this can be found on the Southall Trust website (linked for your convenience)).
Charities with income over £1 million, high free reserves, or those not compliant with charity regulations may be excluded. Projects outside the UK, emergency appeals, and counselling services are also generally ineligible.
Please note: From November 2025, the Trust will be introducing application deadlines and periods when they are closed to applications. The Trust will close and reopen to applications on the following dates:
- January–March: Closes at 5pm on the first Friday in January, and reopens at 9am on the first Monday in March.
- May–July: Closes at 5pm on the first Friday in May, and reopens at 9am on the first Monday in July.
