CVS Falkirk & District is a dedicated local resource for Falkirk District based social enterprises and residents interested in establishing a social enterprise.
We work with existing social enterprises, and facilitate a vibrant network environment for our social enterprise members – including as part of the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network (FVSEN).
Part of our mission is to encourage individuals and organisations to be more socially enterprising, which might mean helping someone to start a social enterprise idea they have from scratch – or, it could mean helping established businesses, or charities, to be more socially enterprising.
To this we have a range of services on offer:
- start-up guidance

- business idea development
- business planning
- funding support
- partnership working
- legal and compliance issues
- measuring social impact
- tendering and procurement
- policies
- networking
(And that’s not an exhaustive list!)
This support can be tailored around you. We can come to you, or welcome you in our office, for one to one support, or to speak with your team or board, and so on.
Events and Training Opportunities
We also offer subsidised (often FREE) training and workshop opportunities to support best practice and skills development –providing individuals and organisations with expert advice (often brought in from external consultants) in any of the areas outlined above.
Please check our event page to see what training opportunities are available at the current time.
FVSEN
Lastly, we coordinate the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network (FVSEN) with our Forth Valley TSI partners CTSI and SVE.
The FVSEN is a membership network promoting and supporting social enterprises across Forth Valley and is free to join, and acts as a forum for:
- peer support and information sharing
- potential inter-trading
- engagement with policy makers, funders and other strategic partners
Membership also entitles you to listing on the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Directory – an innovative and easy to access way for people to ensure they are buying local goods and services with social, ethical and environmental benefits, and a great way for members to advertise.
For further information, including how to join FVSEN and list your social enterprise on the Directory, please visit the Directory’s About page.
