The Community Finance Fund is Social Investment Scotland’s (SIS) core loan programme, offering flexible and affordable finance to charities and social enterprises across Scotland. It is designed to support organisations which are creating positive social impact, and are ready to take on repayable finance to strengthen and grow their operations.
Loans typically range from £25,001 – £375,000, with flexibility to consider smaller amounts where appropriate. Both term loans and bridging loans are available, with secured and unsecured options offered depending on an organisation’s financial position. Fixed interest rates provide clarity and certainty around repayments.
Funding can be used for a wide range of purposes, including working capital, bridging finance, capital projects, growth activity and investment readiness. Organisations may also benefit from expert advice, training, and peer networking to support long-term sustainability.
Applications are welcomed at any time; an initial informal conversation with an SIS Investment Manager is encouraged.
