Our upcoming Safer and Empowered Communities Forum takes place online via Zoom (linked for your convenience, and below), 10am – 12pm on Wednesday 21st February. The theme of the meeting is “protecting and safeguarding adults against varying kinds of harm”.
We look forward to hearing from our guest speakers on:
- Protecting adults against harm – Gemma Ritchie (Adult Support and Protection, Falkirk Council)
- Third party reporting process – Pamela Correa-Martinez (Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC))
- Raising awareness about Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland (SOHTIS) – Joy Gillespie (SOHTIS)
As a Forum, we will also discuss what steps you need to take in your group or organisation to embed robust safeguarding processes to protect your volunteers and service users from harm. Any third sector staff member or volunteer working or delivering a service in the Falkirk District area is welcome to attend our Forum.
The agenda and minutes of the previous meeting are available to view or download on the dedicated forum page.
