People’s Postcode Trust’s latest application window is now open, closing at 12pm on Wednesday 1 July 2026.
People’s Postcode Trust supports small charities and community groups in Scotland to benefit people and the planet. Funding is available for projects which increase participation in sport or the arts, reduce poverty, support marginalised groups, improve mental health, enhance biodiversity, respond to the climate emergency, or improve green spaces and outdoor access.
Grants are flexible and unrestricted. Voluntary groups without a charity number can apply for up to £2,500, while registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs) with an asset lock, and community benefit societies can seek up to £25,000. Priority goes to groups and organisations with an annual income under £250,000, those serving communities in the top 15% most deprived areas, and groups led by or supporting marginalised communities. The maximum eligible income for applicants is £1,000,000.
This is the second of 2026’s three scheduled funding rounds, with Round 3 opening at the end of September.
A number of exclusions apply, including: medical research; activities outside the UK; the promotion of religion or animal welfare; retrospective funding; and applications from statutory bodies, schools or Schedule 3 Community Interest Companies (CICs). Organisations which have received support from any People’s Postcode Lottery Trust within the last 12 months are also ineligible.
