Grants of up to £500,000 are available via the Racial Diversity UK (RDUK) Fund from the Nuffield Foundation.

The RDUK Fund focuses on research which aims to strengthen understanding, inform public debate, and help shape policy and practice to address racial inequalities and discrimination. The 2026 theme is: intergenerational changes, continuities and challenges in a racially diverse UK. Applications are open to charities, researchers, and academics, amongst others, for projects lasting from six months to three years. The Nuffield Foundation encourages applications from diverse backgrounds (particularly from individuals and organisations from racially minoritised communities), and partnership proposals which bring together researchers and communities are strongly welcomed.

The closing date for applications is Monday 5 October 2026. A second round is expected to open in autumn 2027.
