Firstport has launched their Pounds for Purpose initiative, and are now accepting applications. Pounds for Purpose is open to young people aged 16 – 26 years old looking to make a positive impact in their communities. Each successful applicant will be awarded up to £500 to help get their idea “up and running”, and to cover some of the start-up costs. There is currently no application deadline.

Home-Start Falkirk Coffee Morning
Home-Start Falkirk is holding a coffee morning on Tuesday 24th March from 10:30am, at their office at 72 Duke Street, Denny, FK6 6NP. The coffee morning is an opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering with, or finding out more about, Home-Start Falkirk. They will be welcomed with a hot drink and have the chance for an informal chat about how they could get involved.
CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund: Deadline Approaching
The latest round of Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund will close to new applications at 1pm on Friday 20th March. YouthLink Scotland, who manage the fund, is accepting proposals for the delivery of targeted youth work activity programmes, which provide a range of activities for young people between 10 – 24 years old. A total of £700,000 is available. Funded activity must be delivered between June 2020 and the end of March 2021.
CVS Falkirk Online Funding Portal Launched
The new CVS Falkirk Funding Portal is now live on our website! The online portal is powered by Grantsonline, the UK’s most comprehensive and up to date UK grant funding information service. Once registered, users will be able to search for a range of different funding opportunities, across local and national organisations.

Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) have announced that their Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Wednesday 4th November in Glasgow. “#WeArePublicHealth: Creating Health and Wellbeing for All” aims to bring together public health stakeholders from across the third and community sectors, NHS, national and local government, other public bodies, and academia, and will look at the 6 national public health priorities.
