Scottish Government has launched their new Detect Cancer Earlier campaign, “Be The Early Bird”.
The campaign is designed to reach everyone in Scotland, with a particular focus on those aged 40 years old and over, and aims to:
- reinforce the benefits of finding cancer earlier, in a bid to challenge fears which stop people acting on signs; benefits include:
- more treatment options
- a greater likelihood of living well after treatment
- better news for family and loved ones
- encourage those who have unusual (to them), persistent symptoms to contact their GP practice
The campaign toolkit and resources are available to view or download via the Scottish Government Marketing Resources Centre (linked for your convenience), along with a summary of the campaign.
