Volunteer Scotland’s popular ‘Recruitment and Duty to Refer’ online training session has been refreshed to include essential safeguarding guidance. Through this training, learn how safer recruitment, safeguarding practices and the legal duty to refer work together to protect children, protected adults, volunteers and organisations.
The course content will cover:
- Where disclosure checking fits into a recruitment process
- How safeguarding can protect volunteers and service users
- How safeguarding links into the referrals process
- The legal requirement to refer
- The criteria for making a referral to Disclosure Scotland
- How to make a referral to Disclosure Scotland
If you are looking to build your knowledge, strengthen your processes, and ensure your organisation understands its legal responsibilities, join this free online training on either Friday 9 October, 10am – 12pm, or Thursday 29 October, 2pm – 4pm.
