The National Lottery Community Fund has launched a new programme offering support for community-led projects which help make a positive difference to the environment.

The Small Eco Awards programme is intended to encourage practical local action and support activities which contribute to environmental sustainability while delivering benefits for communities. Organisations can apply for grant of £300 – £20,000, and can expect to receive a decision within 12 weeks of submitting their application.

The programme will fund projects which meet at least one of the National Lottery Community Fund priorities: help people connect with and care for nature in their area; make a positive difference to the environment; help people tackle pollution in their communities. Groups considering an application are encouraged to read the programme guidance carefully to ensure their project aligns with the fund’s environmental priorities and eligibility requirements.
