The Morrisons Foundation Connecting Communities Grants programme offers grants of up to £20,000 to charities delivering place-based services which support local communities or specific groups. Funding is available for capital projects which improve community spaces, reduce social isolation, and help ensure important local services remain accessible for the future.
The programme aims to support charities at the heart of their communities by investing in buildings, outdoor spaces, and specialist facilities. Projects may include the improvement of village halls, community centres, youth clubs, community gardens, disability support facilities, hospices, schools, shelters, and other community spaces which bring people together and strengthen local connections.
Eligible applicants must be registered charities, have at least one set of accounts filed with the relevant charity regulator, and either own the property where the funded project will take place, or hold a lease with at least three years remaining.
There is no fixed application deadline, with applications processed on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applicants can normally expect a funding decision within eight weeks.
