The McCarthy Stone Foundation’s Christmas Connections programme will reopen in September 2026, offering small grants to support organisations bringing older people together during the festive season.
The programme aims to tackle loneliness and social isolation by supporting festive community activities that help older people stay connected during the Christmas period. Grants of up to £750 are available to registered charities, community groups, and Community Interest Companies (CICs) with an annual income of less than £250,000. Funding is intended to support activities and events which provide connection, companionship and engagement for people aged 65 years old and over, taking place Wednesday 9 December 2026 – Saturday 2 January 2027.
Priority will be given to organisations working in areas of deprivation, and to activities taking place during the Christmas holiday period. The deadline for applications is yet to be announced.
