To ensure the Falkirk community continues to receive a continued safe and reliable gas supply, Scotland Gas Networks will be carrying out essential works within the Larbert FK2 and FK5 Falkirk areas – beginning Monday 1 April 2024, and lasting approximately fourteen weeks. This is phase one of an eight phased project, phase one and four will commence simultaneously and work until July. Phase four information will follow in due course.
The first three weeks of works will commence outside of Larbert on the B905; therefore, customers won’t be notified of works until later in April. The following road closures will also be implemented at different times – Pretoria Road, Henryson Crescent, Victoria Road, Peploe Avenue and South Broomage Avenue.
Local parking restrictions will be in force, with access to driveways and entrance gates given unless previously agreed with the occupier. Temporary road signals will also be in use, which may cause delays during peak periods.
Extra help: SGN engineers will visit gas customers on the Priority Service Register to offer extra support during works. This includes a free electric heater and hot plate when their gas is off. You may know elderly or vulnerable customers/neighbours who need support but are not on their list. Please call 0800 975 1818 or email careline@sgn.co.uk for help getting them added to the priority services register.
