The Kelly Family Charitable Trust (KFCT) offers grants of up to £5,000 to registered charities which help families work together to overcome challenges.
Both capital and revenue funding are available, including core operating costs, making this an opportunity for newly established organisations. Larger grants may be awarded at the trustees’ discretion.
The Trust funds initiatives which prevent family breakdown through practical support, counselling, mediation, and projects addressing domestic violence, sexual abuse, substance misuse, and support for prisoners’ families. While preference is given to charities with annual incomes below £500,000, pioneering pilot projects from larger organisations may also be considered. The Trustees also encourage applications from relatively new charities to help them become established.
Past beneficiaries include Mosac, which supports non-abusing parents of sexually abused children, and Westminster Befriend a Family, which trains volunteers to assist families under stress.
Grants are awarded twice yearly, with the next closing date on Sunday 1 March 2026.
