SEPA, in partnership with the HSE and Falkirk Council, invite you to attend one of their upcoming workshops on regulation in the Grangemouth area, taking place in the morning and evening of Tuesday 19th March 2024.
A part of the Grangemouth Future Industry Board is the Grangemouth Regulatory Hub. This hub is a partnership to support delivery of a just transition to net zero and facilitate innovation, whilst minimising risk to our environment and protecting communities. An example of the work the hub will do is the current Outcome Based Collaborative Regulation (OBCR) project.
Both the Regulatory Hub and its project on OBCR exist because SEPA and partners think there are ways they could adapt their approach to regulation to better support innovation and a transition to net zero.
The purpose of these workshops is to bring together as many stakeholders as possible together so they can capture the views of each stakeholder to inform the design of both the Regulatory Hub and OBCR project to best support the just transition. Srikanth Mangalam is a renowned expert in regulation from the PRISM Institute in Canada and will be facilitating much of the day.
Objectives of the day are:
- Brief attendees on Grangemouth Regulatory Hub and Outcome Based Collaborative Regulation project, including how these fit into the Grangemouth just transition landscape.
- Collect feedback from stakeholders on what outcomes they need from a Regulatory Hub and the OBCR project.
- Learn about culture and change management needed for the change in regulatory approach.
- Begin collaborative design of an OBCR approach to regulation.
There is the option to attend either during the day of evening session, please register via the Eventbrite links below (linked for your convenience):
