Social Security Scotland is holding a series of roadshows in advance of the Job Start Payment launch, with the Falkirk event taking place on Thursday 13th February, 10am – 12:30pm at the Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Redbrae Road, Camelon, FK1 4DD.
The Job Start Payment (previously known as the Job Grant) is a new payment from Social Security Scotland to help young people with costs associated with the transition into employment, after a time out of paid work.
There will also be events in Glasgow on Friday 14th February and in Edinburgh on Friday 28th February, as well as an online webinar and a teleconference on Thursday 20th February.
The Falkirk event will include:
- an introductory presentation (covering Social Security Scotland’s role, and the policy background and eligibility criteria for the Job Start Payment)
- information on the Job Start Payment application process
- Social Security Scotland’s appeals process
- an opportunity to ask the Social Security Scotland team further questions
