Social Security Scotland is holding a series of roadshows in advance of the Job Start Payment launch, with the Falkirk event taking place on Thursday 13^th February, 10am – 12:30pm at the Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Redbrae Road, Camelon, FK1 4DD.

The Job Start Payment (previously known as the Job Grant) is a new payment from Social Security Scotland to help young people with costs associated with the transition into employment, after a time out of paid work.

There will also be events in Glasgow on Friday 14^th February and in Edinburgh on Friday 28^th February, as well as an online webinar and a teleconference on Thursday 20^th February.

The Falkirk event will include:

an introductory presentation (covering Social Security Scotland’s role, and the policy background and eligibility criteria for the Job Start Payment)
information on the Job Start Payment application process
Social Security Scotland’s appeals process
an opportunity to ask the Social Security Scotland team further questions
