Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) is holding an event to launch its latest research project report on gender and health, “(IN)VISIBLE Gender and Health”.
The project has been developed to explore the relationship between sex, gender identity and health through a third sector lens. At its launch in October 2025, VHS said the project would also have a particular focus on health inequalities related to gender, and would explore how gendered experiences of health intersect with other forms of identity, including sexuality, race, ethnicity, age, income and caring status.
Taking place on Tuesday 19 May 2026, 1pm – 2pm online, the event will be led by VHS’ Policy and Public Affairs Lead, Sarah Latto, who will give attendees an overview of the report. Attendees will then hear from VHS member organisations who contributed to the research, including:
- Alice Struthers, Programme Director at Scottish Neurological Alliance
- Tracey McFall, Chief Executive Officer at Scottish Recovery Consortium
- Rebecca Hoffman, Policy & Research Manager at LGBT Health and Wellbeing
There will be an opportunity towards the end of the session for questions and comments from attendees.
