Following its success in March 2025, the Improvement Service are repeating the ‘Introduction To Spider In The Glass: Exploring A Trauma-Informed Response To Domestic Abuse‘ webinar, hosting two more sessions in April 2025. This is a great opportunity for those who weren’t able to attend the previous sessions, or for colleagues who may benefit from learning more about adopting a trauma-informed response to domestic abuse.
Aimed at professionals who support or work with people affected by or experiencing domestic abuse/ coercive controlling behaviours within a relationship, and those seeking to understand trauma within that context, this webinar aims to bring awareness to women’s experiences of domestic abuse, and show what a trauma informed response to domestic abuse looks like in practice. Key focus points include:
- To strengthen participants’ understanding of how to take a trauma-informed and responsive approach to supporting people who live with/ have lived with domestic abuse/ coercive controlling behaviours in relationships.
- To strengthen participants’ understanding of domestic abuse/ coercive controlling behaviours within relationships and ways to respond effectively to it within our professional roles when supporting people.
- To raise awareness of the experiences of gender-based violence, with a focus on domestic abuse and coercive control.
