The Idlewild Trust is an independent grant‑making trust supporting charitable activity across two funding streams: the arts, and the conservation of cultural heritage. Grants of up to £8,000 are available.
Under its Arts programme, “Nurturing Early‑Stage Professionals”, Idlewild supports organisations which deliver high‑level training for early‑career participants aged 18 years old and over, working in the performing, fine, and applied arts (examples include musicians, dancers, actors, writers, and artists).
The “Objects and Works of Art” programme supports conservation work on objects and artworks of recognised national or international importance. Eligible projects include those based in museums, libraries, galleries, historic buildings, or landscapes which are accessible to the public.
The deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 4 September 2026.
