The 2025 Forth Valley 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence programme is now live, featuring a series of events designed to unite workers and communities to raise awareness, inspire change, and stand together against gender-based violence.
The national theme, “All Together to Prevent and End Violence Against Women and Girls,” emphasises collective action and cross-sector collaboration. The 2025 National Toolkit for 16 Days of Activism is now available on the Improvement Service website, providing template communications, logos, infographics, animations, and webinar registration links.
The local campaign features new branding, an online booking platform via Eventbrite, and a dedicated gender-based violence (GBV) webpage on the Falkirk Council website, where the new local GBV strategy is also available to view and download. Poster packs are also being developed to support local promotion around events and the campaign; requests for these can be made by contacting Sarah Finnegan at the Falkirk GBV Partnership, by email: Sarah.Finnegan@falkirk.gov.uk
The local Forth Valley launch event will take place on Tuesday 25 November 2025, with a community gathering, with a march, speakers, music and solidarity. The event takes place 11am – 2:30pm at Forth Valley College (Falkirk campus), Grangemouth Road, Falkirk, FK2 9AD; places can be booked via Eventbrite.
