Forth Environment Link (FEL) is currently working to develop a Community Climate Action Plan (CCAP) for Bo’ness, using the 20 minute neighbourhood framework.
They have launched an online survey as part of this work, with prizes for taking part – including a food hamper worth £100, as well as vouchers for local participating venues in Bo’ness.
The 20 minute neighbourhood, and the Bo’ness CCAP recognises there is no “one size fits all” model for local communities. Each town, city, or village will have its own unique expectations when it comes to the services and facilities it requires for its community. The 20 minute neighbourhood takes into account points such as landscape, population, environment, and the economic status of a place, putting people at its centre.
In doing so, communities can enhance their lives ensuring that the places people live, work, and play in are inclusive and equitable.
With regards to Bo’ness, FEL’s survey asks:
- “Does your town meet your needs?”
- “Does your community enhance your life?”
- “Can you move around with ease?”
- “Do you feel safe and are the facilities and services available inclusive, accessible, and needed?”
The deadline for survey responses is Monday 28th February.
