The Fat Beehive Foundation provides small grants to UK charities to help improve their digital presence. This includes support for building websites and apps, digitising services, and purchasing digital products.
The fund is particularly aimed at helping charities with limited resources, especially those supporting traditionally hard-to-fund groups such as prisoners, refugees, or disadvantaged youth. Grants of up to £2,500 are available. Projects must aim to:
- enhance the organisation’s digital presence
- build or improve websites or apps
- digitise services to improve accessibility and efficiency
- purchase digital tools or products
Eligible organisations must be UK-based registered charities, with an average annual income of less than £1,000,000, and be able to demonstrate how the funding will support digital needs not typically covered by other funders. Trustees are especially keen to support charities working with marginalised or underserved communities.
Applications are reviewed at trustee meetings held in April and October; the next closing date (for the April meeting) is 5pm on Tuesday 31 March 2026.
