From engaged training sessions to lively conversations with exhibitors, the Falkirk Funders Fayre 2026 has once more exceeded expectations and left attendees feeling inspired and better equipped for another round of funding applications.
The Falkirk Funders Fayre 2026 drew a strong turnout this week (Tuesday 17 March 2026) as charities, community groups, and social enterprises from across the district gathered to explore new funding opportunities and strengthen connections with key funders. Held at local venue Grangemouth Stadium, the event highlighted the continued demand for accessible funding guidance and support across the Falkirk District third sector.
Many attendees came prepared with direct questions for projects and ideas allowing funders to provide tailored support cutting through the uncertainty that often surrounds the application process. One attendee highlighted,
“I came with a list of questions and an idea of the funders who I felt could support my organisation but ended up benefiting from meeting funders who I hadn’t been aware of, who I can now look at submitting an application for one of their funds”.
A wide variety of exhibitors were represented on the day, offering guidance for projects focused on community development, arts, sport, social enterprise, energy efficiency, and more. With funders demonstrating their commitment to ensuring Falkirk District’s third sector has access to clear, accessible information and early‑stage conversations that can shape stronger applications.
Local group Stenhousemuir Gymnastics Club acknowledged leaving the day feeling more confident about their next steps towards securing funding, saying,
“Speaking to funders face to face has been incredibly helpful. You get a far clearer sense of what they’re looking for and how to shape your application than you ever could from reading guidelines online. As someone attending for the first time, I was struck by how approachable and supportive the funders were, and how willing they were to explain their funding programmes eligibility and focus areas. A real highlight for me was having direct access to the lead officer for Sportscotland, who was able to talk through opportunities and funds specific to our area.”
Alongside the exhibitor hall, a structured training programme offered short, focused sessions designed to introduce new technologies, deepen understanding of the funding landscape, and boost confidence when preparing applications. Attendees were able to benefit from the guidance of funding experts from SCVO, DTAS, Impact Funding Partners and CVS Falkirk & District – each looking to address common challenges and inspire new ways of thinking. Reflecting on the value of the event, one attendee highlighted,
“we are in the process of applying for charity status, so this was a great opportunity to network and get advice to make sure we move forward on the right foot”.
With new relationships formed and fresh ideas sparked, many attendees left feeling optimistic about the year ahead and the impact their work can continue to make in local communities. A massive thank you must be given to the team at Grangemouth Sports Trust, and Dipping Sos, for supporting the organisation and logistics of the event. Grangemouth Stadium has long been a much-loved community asset, and we are pleased to have been able to highlight one of the fantastic community organisations working through the community asset transfer process.
