Falkirk District Credit Union (FDCU) is currently looking for new Board Members.
FDCU is a co-operative financial institution, owned and controlled by the members who use its services, and is regulated by the FCA and PRA; members’ deposits are protected by the FSCS. Their office is in Grangemouth, supporting members who live and work throughout the Falkirk District.
Credit Unions are not-for-profit and exist to provide a safe, ethical way for members to save money and access loans and other financial services at reasonable rates. Board Members will be required to attend monthly board meetings (usually Wednesday afternoons at the FDCU office), as well as working with smaller groups as needed. Expenses will be paid.
They are particularly keen to hear from people with the following skills, though these are not essential:
- knowledge or expertise in financial services
- Credit Union experience
- business experience – governance, human resources, planning, or IT, for example
- marketing ideas or experience
