2025 Voluntary Sector Workforce Survey Deadline

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) has launched its 2025 Voluntary Sector Workforce Survey.

The aim is to better understand how people across the sector (volunteers, staff, managers, and senior leaders) feel about their roles (both paid work and volunteering), and how they can be better supported. The main areas the survey covers are:

• job and volunteering satisfaction
• health and wellbeing
• hybrid and home working
• diversity and inclusion
• pay and benefits
• management and leadership
• skills and career progression
• your future plans

SCVO (including their Goodmoves and HR teams) plans to use the survey findings to strengthen routes into and through the voluntary sector, and explore how employers might improve the working environment for staff and volunteers. The findings will be shared widely, including with third sector employers and volunteering organisations to help them attract and retain motivated and skilled staff.

The survey is anonymous, and should take between 10 – 25 minutes to complete, closing to new responses on Friday 8 August 2025.
