Applications are now open for Earth Raise, a UK-wide match funding initiative supporting charities with environmental missions.
Running Saturday 18 April 2026 – Saturday 25 April 2026 (and including the annual Earth Day on Wednesday 22 April), the campaign matches public donations made via the Big Give website, up to a pre-allocated amount per charity. Match funding is provided entirely by donors, with no pledges required from participating organisations.
Previously known as the Green Match Fund, the campaign is committed to amplifying the impact of every donation, doubling the difference for global efforts to protect and preserve the planet.
“Launching on World Earth Day 2026, Earth Raise Live will be a landmark annual event, a powerful blend of cultural moments, inspiring stories and live music, designed to drive mass engagement and fundraising.
“Through this exciting live event, we’ll invite the public to donate to any Earth Raise charity, with the promise that their donation will be doubled. It’s a powerful, emotional call to action, one that we hope will lead to unprecedented support for environmental causes.
“Better yet, charities helping us launch Earth Raise Live 2026 can be spotlighted during the event itself – a huge opportunity to raise awareness of your work.”
Charities may apply for unrestricted funding, covering capital, revenue, or core costs. Eligible organisations must have a minimum annual income of £25,000 and operate in Scotland, the UK, or overseas. Awarded match funding levels are £2,500, £10,000 or £25,000, contributing to an annual fund total of £8 million.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 16 January 2026.
