The Charlotte Aitken Trust has reopened its funding programme for organisations across the UK whose core purpose is supporting literature and literacy.
Grants of up to £30,000 are available to support core and revenue costs for activities that advance public education in literature and promote creative writing, fiction, non-fiction, drama, and poetry. The Trust has previously funded book prizes, literary organisations, creative writing initiatives, and projects that encourage wider engagement with literature. Applications must demonstrate a strong alignment with the Trust’s aim of educating the public in the appreciation of literature.
The current funding round is open until Saturday 31 October 2026.
Organisations interested in applying must first complete the Trust’s online contact form, after which selected applicants will then be invited to submit a full application.
