Community sports clubs across the UK can now apply for unrestricted grants of £2,000 through the Cash4Clubs programme, aimed at enhancing sustainability and access to local sport.
Funded by Flutter Entertainment and delivered by Sported, the initiative supports adult-only clubs (ie. for those aged 18 years old and over) with costs such as venue hire, coaching, equipment, volunteer expenses, training, insurance, and marketing.
A total of £500,000 is available in this round. Priority will be given to clubs serving deprived communities, or using sport to address social challenges including underrepresentation, crime reduction, and skill development.
The funding is unrestricted, meaning organisations are able to decide how best to use the grant to support their activities. However, Cash4Clubs aims to fund clubs which need it most and as such, prioritises groups working in areas of high deprivation and engaging adults from specific under-represented groups. These groups include women, people from racially-diverse communities, people with disabilities and people from the LGBTQ+ community.
Applications are welcomed from not-for-profit organisations, including charities, community groups and traditional sports clubs and teams. To be eligible for funding, organisations applying must be clubs with a structured governance and constitution, registered charities, or companies without share capital. Applicants must demonstrate that they are using sport for social purpose (examples include: operating in communities facing disadvantage, engaging adults from under-represented groups and tackling issues such as crime and anti-social behaviour).
Applications close on Monday 8 December 2025. Organisations are encouraged to apply early and thoroughly review the eligibility criteria in the application guidance notes and FAQs.
