The Clothworkers Foundation is offering capital grants to UK-based charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and other registered not for profit organisations, including special schools. Funding is available for projects that benefit disadvantaged individuals, with eligible costs covering:
- buildings: purchase, construction, renovation, or refurbishment
- fixtures and equipment: office, sports, digital, garden, and therapeutic items
- vehicles: including minibuses and people-carriers (new vehicles are rarely funded)
Applicants must demonstrate alignment with one or more of the Foundation’s priority areas, such as homelessness, substance misuse, domestic abuse, prison rehabilitation, economic disadvantage, disabilities, racial inequalities, and support for LGBT+ and disadvantaged youth, or older people.
At least 50% of beneficiaries must belong to these groups. Applications are accepted year-round, with decisions typically made within 12 weeks for grants under £15,000, and within 4 months for larger requests.
