In another of its new grants, the Motability Foundation has announced a major funding opportunity aimed at enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the UK’s community and shared transport sector.
The foundation’s strategic grant programme is designed to support organisations that deliver inclusive transport solutions for disabled people and their communities, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Eligible applicants include charities, social enterprises, and community transport operators.
Grants range from £50,000 – £1 million, with funding available for projects lasting 12 months – 3 years. The programme prioritises initiatives that demonstrate long-term impact, foster collaboration across the sector, promote environmental sustainability, and innovative approaches to rural and inclusive transport.
To apply, organisations must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) outlining their proposed project. The deadline for EOIs is Friday 30 January 2026, after which selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application.
