Through the Home Improvement Fund, the B&Q Foundation is offering funding to registered UK charities which support people experiencing homelessness, and who are improving home environments for those facing financial hardship, illness, disability, or other disadvantage.

The Foundation focuses on projects which directly enhance homes, rather than community centres, support hubs, or wellbeing spaces. Grants of up to £10,000 are available through the Home Improvement Fund for work such as decorating, roof repairs, garden refurbishment, upgrading fixtures and fittings, and creating new rooms or buildings. Eligible organisations must be registered charities. Please note that Community Interest Companies (CICs), unregistered groups, and projects already completed are not eligible to apply.

The deadline for applications is Friday 14 August 2026. Successful applicants will be notified within 12 weeks of the deadline.
