Inclusive Volunteering has created a guide to help groups and organisations through the process of creating their own Volunteer Personal Development Plan (VPDP), a tailored roadmap with a downloadable template and other resources and toolkits.
“Volunteering is more than just giving your time to a cause — it’s an opportunity for personal growth, skill development, and meaningful connections. Some skills grow naturally as part of a volunteering journey, but some volunteers, particularly longer-term volunteers may want to develop in more specific ways, possibly moving into a different or more senior role.”
Inclusive Volunteering aims to help make volunteer management more trauma-informed, creating a safer and more fulfilling environment for volunteering.
A VPDP can help empower volunteers to align their volunteering efforts with their aspirations, and can be completed individually during supervisions, or as a group workshop.
