Freelance artists and not for profit organisations in Scotland can apply for funding to deliver arts activities for disadvantaged children and young people.
The Youth Arts Open Fund provides grants of up to £8000 to individual artists, and up to £15,000 to creative, third sector or youth work organisations for the delivery of high quality and accessible community-based arts activities that enhance the health, wellbeing, skills, and confidence of children and young people who may not have access to such activities.
Applicants must be based in Scotland, experienced in working with children and young people and supporting the delivery of free community-based arts activities for children and young people living in Scotland.
The funding is made available by the Scottish Government, delivered in partnership by Creative Scotland and YouthLink Scotland. Organisations currently in receipt of Creative Scotland funding for projects with/for children and young people must demonstrate how the proposed activity is additional to your existing funding agreement and how the activity enhances current and future plans. This fund is not open to private/commercial businesses.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 5 September 2024.
