Central Wellbeing SCIO is a peer support mental health charity established in 2021 and based in Falkirk town centre, dedicated to providing compassion, understanding and a safe space for those navigating the challenges of poor mental health. Their support includes facilitating peer support groups and community activities in the Forth Valley area.
They are currently looking to recruit new volunteers for a number of roles, including:
- Community Ambassadors to help keep posters and leaflets visible and up to date in key locations across the community
- Peer Support Volunteers to join their Forget Me Not Café (a space for older people who may feel lonely or isolated)
- Helping Hands Volunteers, a flexible role supporting Central Wellbeing SCIO through small practical tasks such as putting up shelves
- Skills Sharers who would like to share a skill, hobby or life experience with others in a relaxed and informal environments, such as a short talk, group workshop session, or demonstration
- Digital Champions, who will use social media to help spread the word about Central Wellbeing and the groups they run
