Not-for-profit organisations in England, Scotland and Wales can now apply to the Green Community Grants Programme, which offers up to £25,000 of flexible funding for one year to support environmental and community-based activity.
Applicants must have been operating for at least 12 months and have annual income between £10,000 and £1 million. Priority will be given to organisations with an income of £250,000 or less, those working in areas of high deprivation, and organisations supporting marginalised communities.
Organisational aims should align with one of two themes:
- Contributing to nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency.
- Improving nature-rich spaces and access to them.
Funding can also support wider sustainability initiatives such as recycling projects, litter picks, beach cleans, and sustainable transport activities.
The deadline for applications is 11.59pm, Wednesday 21 October 2026.
Applications must be submitted online via the Green Community Grants Programme application portal.
