Our team at CVS Falkirk & District would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at our 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) earlier this week.
It was so good to see everyone again – our members, our partners and colleagues from across Falkirk District’s third sector – and to welcome you to the lovely Bonnybridge Community Centre for the first time, getting to catch up with you all in a wonderful community venue.
As our Deputy CEO Lynsey Hansford said, “Everything we’ve spoken about today has been done to support the third sector as they support their communities; that is our purpose as a third sector organisation and as a Third Sector Interface (TSI).”

Special thanks go to:
- our speaker Steve Kent, Policy Manager for the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), who spoke about the new changes to charity legislation, its key features, how it supplements and enhances the current legislation, and what the third sector can do to prepare for it coming into force
- Steve has kindly shared his presentation with us, which we will make available on our website as part of our resources on the new legislation
- Robert Taylor from our auditors at Dickson Middleton, who helped present our 2022/23 accounts
- Keith at MinuteMan Falkirk, who printed our brand new Annual Review 2022/23 for the event
- Eddie at Marshall’s Family Bakers, who organised another year of the fantastic pies, rolls and cakes for lunch
- our hosts, the Bonnybridge Community Education Association, who welcomed our AGM for the first time
To quote our Chair, Neil Bradbrook, in his closing remarks, “You are the heartblood of Falkirk District’s communities, you are what makes the area tick.” We would like to echo Neil’s comments and thanks, and we can’t wait to work with you all in the next stages of our journey as Falkirk District’s TSI!
