“Do worry and anxiety feel like they are taking up too much space in your life? Are you tired of overthinking, feeling on edge, or avoiding situations because they feel overwhelming?”
Step Into Summer Thriving is a supportive 5 week small group course designed to help people better understand anxiety, and develop effective ways to manage it using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches. Sessions will take place in Polmont Community Hub, Greenpark Drive, Polmont, FK2 0PZ, on Tuesdays, 6pm – 8pm, starting on Tuesday 12 May 2026.
Delivered by an in-training CBT Therapist, participants should gain tools to help break the cycle of anxiety and worry. The course will explore:
- understanding anxiety, worry, and how CBT can help
- gaining insight into patterns that maintain anxiety and worry
- identifying coping mechanisms and unhelpful safety behaviours
- learning healthier ways to respond to anxious thoughts
- building tolerance and making helpful behaviour changes
- practical strategies to calm and soothe the nervous system
- building confidence through small, sustainable changes
- opportunities to reflect, share experiences, and learn from others in a safe and supportive space
Aiming to support participants to create deeper personal understanding and develop skills that can support lasting change, the small group setting is designed to offer connection, encouragement, and reassurance that you are not alone in what you are experiencing. By the end of the course, participants should have a clearer understanding of their anxiety, a personalised toolkit of strategies, and practical steps to help them move forward in life with greater ease and resilience.
“Whether your anxiety feels mild or more persistent, this course offers a gentle and empowering space to begin making meaningful changes.”
