The Scottish Parliament’s Participation and Communities Team (PACT) is rolling out a 12-month Communities Action Plan aimed at deepening engagement with third sector organisations and grassroots communities across Scotland.
As part of the plan, PACT will visit all 32 local authority areas at least once over the coming year. The visits will focus on meeting key third sector anchor organisations and infrastructure bodies, helping Parliament build stronger connections with grassroots groups and marginalised communities.
The initiative seeks to better understand local priorities and the challenges facing communities, with a view to increasing opportunities for organisations to engage with parliamentary committees and contribute to policy development.
In addition, PACT will partner with community groups to host one engagement event in each parliamentary region over the next year, creating further opportunities for third sector organisations to share insights directly with the Scottish Parliament.
