Tickets for the 2022 Scottish First Aid Awards are now on sale.
Organised by St Andrew’s First Aid, the awards will take place on Friday 11th March, 6:30pm – 1am at the Radisson Blu Hotel , 301 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G2 8DL. They recognise people and organisations across Scotland who have performed outstanding acts of first aid, or gone above and beyond their legal first aid responsibilities to make businesses and communities safer.
Nominations are also open for the awards, with 10 categories celebrating those who have performed remarkable acts of first aid, saved a life or championed first aid in the workplace or school.
Award Nominations
The full list of nominations categories is below:
- Scottish Volunteer of the Year (from any volunteer group)
This is a new award to recognise those volunteers who give up their own time to work in their communities and have done inspiring work. They will have, or had, a significant positive impact in their communities, particularly during the pandemic. - First Aid Hero
An individual (aged 18 years old or older) who saved (or provided significant assistance in saving) a life through the delivery of first aid, or applied significant first aid techniques in a high-pressure situation. - Young First Aid Hero
A young person (under 18 years old) who saved (or provided significant assistance in saving) a life through the delivery of first aid, or applied significant first aid techniques in a high-pressure situation. - The Amy Allan Young Volunteer of the Year
A St Andrew’s First Aid young volunteer (aged 5 – 24 years old) who has excelled at learning, developing, practising or supporting first aid to an exemplary level – ultimately ensuring more people can be the difference between life and death. - St Andrew’s First Aid Volunteer of the Year
A St Andrew’s First Aid volunteer aged 25 years old or older, who has excelled at learning, developing (themselves and others), practising or supporting first aid to an exemplary level – ultimately ensuring more people can be the difference between life and death. - Community First Aid Champion
This award is given to an individual or organisation who has excelled in promoting first aid, or mental health first aid, and educating their community – ultimately being ambassadors for health and safety. - St Andrew’s First Aid Corps Company of the Year
This award recognises the outstanding achievements of St Andrew’s First Aid Volunteer Corps Companies across the country. The Corps Company of the Year will be chosen based on activities throughout the past year, participation rates of volunteers, volunteering opportunities, as well taking into consideration governance and record-keeping. - Organisation of the Year for First Aid Excellence
An organisation which demonstrates an outstanding level of investment in first aid and mental health awareness, an investment in equipment and training of staff and ultimately creates a workplace that encourages staff to support each other physically and mentally. - First Class Award
This award recognises an educational establishment or an individual within the education sector, who promotes an exemplary level of first aid knowledge and practice amongst staff and students and has helped build resilience through mental health awareness. - Emergency Services Hero of the Year
An individual or team who works for one of Scotland’s emergency services (NHS, Police, Fire, Ambulance, Coastguard and Mountain Rescue) who saved (or provided significant assistance in saving) a life through the delivery of first aid (either physical or mental), or applied significant first aid techniques in a high-pressure situation. This award recognises the skill and dedication of our emergency service workers whose actions save lives across Scotland.
Each nomination receives one complimentary ticket to the Scottish First Aid Awards; all finalists will also receive a free ticket.
The deadline for all submission forms and supporting documents is 5pm on Wednesday 1st December.

Booking
Table bookings are for maximum 10 attendees and are inclusive of welcome drinks on arrival, a three-course meal, awards ceremony, entertainment and a DJ.
Multiples of single tickets are also available; purchases will automatically add you to the guestlist for the evening. Additionally, each award nomination receives one complimentary ticket to the Scottish First Aid Awards; all finalists will also receive a free ticket.
Tickets do not require shipping or collection. Buying tickets adds you to the guest list for the evening.
Table tickets are £562.50 (excluding VAT) or £675 (including VAT). Single tickets are £60(excluding VAT) or £72 (including VAT).
All funds raised through the Scottish First Aid Awards (including table bookings and single tickets) will be used by St Andrew’s First Aid to continue their work in local communities.
