Scotmid’s Community Grant scheme helps deserving causes across Scotland. Since 2012, they have supported thousands of projects which have touched the lives of people living in the communities they serve.
Small grants of up to £500 are available to assist and support community projects and initiatives throughout Scotland.
Funding is available for a wide range of projects benefiting local communities, with applications welcomed from groups including local community, self-help, voluntary groups, and charities (including local branches of national charities), or individuals acting for the benefit of the local community.
The primary focus of the projects and initiatives must fall into one of the following categories:
- +65 groups (age)
- Active Lifestyles
- Arts & Culture
- Children/Youth
- Community Group
- Co-operative
- Environment
- Fair Trade
- Health & Wellbeing
- Social Inclusion
To be eligible for funding, applicants must be acting for the wider benefit of the local community; and live within the geographic boundaries of a Scotmid store. Schools are also eligible to apply for activities that are not part of their statutory responsibilities (for example, funding for a breakfast club).
