CVS Falkirk & District is pleased to announce that we are running Saltire Ambassador training in schools across Falkirk District this March!

The Saltire Awards are a progressive set of certificates for young volunteers aged 12 – 25 years old in Scotland. Young people can achieve the certificates after 10 hours, 25 hours, 50, 100, 200, and 500 hours of volunteering.

Through our training, young people can become Falkirk & District Saltire Ambassadors in their school and community. After completing this training, they will encourage other young people to sign up to the Saltire Awards and get involved in their community by promoting volunteering to their peers.

Becoming a Saltire Ambassador, and taking part in the training, is excellent personal development, teaching skills that can be applied in higher education and the workplace, and looks great on a CV. Training is delivered to small groups in schools and can be arranged at a date and time that suits each school.
